Star Lucia is right, I think most of the Argentines that want to learn / improve their english (whether it be for work, travel) can afford it and its about priorities.
Citygirl, I pay (well my work pays) my Spanish teacher 100 pesos an hour. Shes very good and well qualified. Understand thats about the going rate these days, so I imagine for an experienced, qualified native english teacher you could charge about the same?
