Cards sent to me from the States arrive almost always in 10 days exact. I haven't been sent a package in a while, but never had a problem with USPS arriving.

How was it sent though? My mom sent me a legal size envelope via Canada Post tracked and it took 5/6 days I think, maybe even 4.

There is no actual time-frame here. There is a backlog, as was already mentioned, now because of the whole Christmas and New Year's break. But there's also the usual backlogs because of the most important break of all: "mate break".

I think its unlikely you lose a package. Counting on a package to arrive within a certain amount of time just means you have to get to know Argentina a little bit better.
