Democrats Abroad In Argentina For Bernie Sanders

hillary needs to go away. i don't think bernie stands a chance either in a general election even if he does get the nomination.

someone like schultz would get my attention if he runs as a D

Obviously, there are many expats from the USA living in Argentina and some of them vote in the US elections, especially the presidential election, so the "world politics" forum is an appropriate place to talk about the candidates.

Besides, expats with residency cannot vote for president in Argentina. Only citizens can do that, so our opinions about who should be president aren't going to affect the outcome of that vote in any way.

PS: I will start paying more attention.to this topic when Hillary officially announces that she is running again (for president, not just off at the mouth).

Sanders has some good ideas but he's too extremist. Hillary is corrupt. They are both extremely pro abortion. Anyway I fail to see why this theme is relevant but not French politics / culture.

If Bernie does not get his act together and run as an Independent he certainly will be cheated again and lose again.
If Bernie runs as an independent he will guarantee a Trump victory in 2020, no matter who the Democrats choose as their candidate.

This theme is relevant to more than the expats who will vote in the US elections.

US politics, especially who gets elected President, affects the entire world.

PS: If there were enough expats from France, someone might start a thread about French politics.

It would be relevant to them and possibly a few others, but it would probably be as stale as a three day old baguette in less time than that.

Just remember what Ross Perot did in 1992 when he got almost 19% of the popular vote.

Thanks to him, G. H. W. Bush only received 37.4 percent of the popular vote and Bill Clinton was elected president with only 43% of the popular vote.

If Bernie wins as a dem, he will be no different from Trump. Both dems and republicans are servants of the 1% thieves, no difference. Time to repeal and roll back all the tax cuts the 1% gave themselves and accumulated decades after decades. Time for gazillionaires to pay taxes. The country is hollowed out. 50% Americans wages are below $30,000, below poverty level, worthless, wasted, mediocre, useless, helpless and undignified.

Anything wrong with this picture anyone?

Jeff Bezos worth $130 Billion, and his employees qualify and collect food stamps.

@TheDonald: Thanks for taking the time. I am interested in your reasoning.

Republicans are not the capitalists they claim to be. They are in the sausage-making economics. Privatizing gains and socializing losses. Dems are republicans but lie about it pretending they are not.

I wish Bernie runs as an Independent Capitalist? I would like to see him not allow himself being labeled a "socialist"? He can save capitalism from both 1% servant clowns? I want him to make sure that the next time the too big fails again, they never get their hands on public coffers again for multi-million Dollar bonuses and hundred of Billions bailouts and Trillions of tax cuts. Makes sure public coffers stay dedicated only for public services and infrastructure: ... roads, transport, schools, colleges, healthcare, social security, etc. (all in shambles).

Capitalism is: "you live or die by your own merits". It is the best-known system. Fair, competitive and real. It is the pursuit of happiness but no guarantees. No such thing as too big to fail.

Why didn´t Obama bail out the homeowners instead of failed bankers in 2008? To add insult to injury after taking the handouts failed bankers turned around and foreclosed and took their houses.
Why is it ok to accept writing off 50% of Americans (people with wages below $30000)? Is it really true that 50% are genetically "weak-minded" and are not worth becoming productive members of society?
What does it mean that Jeff BOZO ($130 Billion worth) not only pays $0 taxes, but also he gets paid back tax credits from public coffers?
Why his employees in Amazon warehouses qualify and collect food stamps from public coffers?
What happened to the Roosevelt "New Deal" that believed in the public economy? Public spend every penny of their wages back in the economy, the 1% hoard and stagnate all the money, own the country, and the rest (the public) are written off.
Many many more why´s. But I´ll stop here.

Your take, if you are inclined.

DeadOA, Why didn't Obama bail out the homeowners and not the bankers? Because he represented the same corporate interests as the Republicans. Hillary Clinton the same if not more so. Gore Vidal described the US political system as a "two party one party system".
