Denied exit 2 Arrested US passenger

If you own a gun, there is a chance that one day you may have to use it.
That's the scary part.

Or the statistically far more likely probability that it will instead be used against you, or someone you love.

That's a pretty generalized statement. There are about a million US citizens that come through EZE each year [plus or minus] but this is the first time in my 8 years that I've heard about some goof-ball Texan trying to board a plane with a weapon and ammo. The guy must really be a simpleton because the airlines give you very clear and easy rules for proper gun transport. IE there are many hunters that come to AR. This guy was just flat out dumb.

Where does it say that he's from Texas?

I flew to Dallas on Tuesday night. I didn't hear about this at all! Bizarre.

In fact a gun was used against someone I love. A family gun, but luckily he missed.
But that's another story altogether. Hence my fear of guns.

Its the only country that go mental when you suggest banning guns. I'm sure there are lots of Americans who don't have this view but from personal experience many Americans will passionately defend their right to own a gun.

It's a right granted to us in the second amendment of our Constitution, the very document by which our country was founded. Guns scare me too, but I'll fight alongside gun owners in order uphold the constitution and preserve our rights.

Amendment 2 - Right to Bear Arms. Ratified 12/15/1791. Note

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

It's simply because guns don't kill people; people kill people. Sure, there are going to be accidents with firearms, and sure, people are going to get killed in those accidents.

However, there are people who have killed others with their cars. Would you suggest proposing a ban on automobiles? Do automobile accidents justify banning cars together? If someone purposely or accidentally kills someone with their vehicle, should their actions ruin your driving privileges? Shouldn't we just do a better job of making sure an automobile doesn't get in the hands of someone who can't responsibly use one?
