Dim sum

Dim sum is not from Hong Kong and it is not exactly Chinese food either.

I think it's the most correct to say it's Cantonese food and since there are lots of Cantonese people in Hong Kong, it is very popular in Hong Kong. However, in China mainland you can find dim sum in various places, if I'm not wrong, mainly in the South..
Shanghai 's xiao long bao is one of the most delicious dim sum I've ever tasted even though it is not considered typical Cantonese dim sum.
