Has anyone recently bought something on USA Amazon and had it directly sent to Buenos Aires? I'm not talking about using a forwarding service...I'm talking about directly sent from the USA. I'm well aware of the forwarding services but this is a different question.
What was your experience doing it his?

You can, it's just not recommended as you're getting screwed on taxes since they don't use the puerta a puerta scheme

I recommend using a forwarding service like Aerobox (haven't had any issues with them) because of the savings. You can buy direct via Amazon, but you pay the taxes at the official exchange rate and in dollars, where with Aerobox you pay at the official exchange rate in pesos.

Total cost via Amazon for the mouse for example: $84.00 USD
Total cost via Aerobox for the mouse for example: $45.85 USD ($28.03 for the mouse after FL taxes + $8,923.23 ARS for shipping/taxes/fees)

Actually it is possible and I know people that have done it. The time taken has been long and the items were cheap but it has been done. I was interested in others experience so that's why I'm asking

Looking for information on using Amazon Global to deliver USA purchases to Brazil while I'm vacationing there. Will I have problems with customs or delivery?

You might need a CPF to be able to get it (BR's version of a CUIT/L). I'd suggest trying to make a small purchase and seeing if you're prompted for it

I bought a book today on Amazon that was delivered immediately to Kindle on my notebook. That's the only service that you can rely on, and it's free. Aduanas operates without oversight. It's not worth the risk. They win, you lose.

I believe anything can be imported basis these conditions

1. You agree to pay 100% tax on the cost price listed on invoice. Example if an item costs 50 usd - expect to pay 50 usd tax.

2. Do not test your luck with electronics and supplements

3. Use Fedex or DHl or UpS who actually provide services to free item from Aduana if you agree to pay 100% tax.

4. Just order 1 item at a time.

5. Have your CUIL or CID ready before ordering.

6. Use online stores which agree to ship to Argentina.

7. Ensure authentic commercial invoice is enclosed in package if being shipped by family.

Hope this helps.
