Disappointed with Food in Argentina

We had an order of gyoza, some complementary ban chan, and a large bowl of rice, meat, veggies, kim chee, and an egg. It was a lot of food.
Argentina is not "cheap" anymore.
nobody is disputing that.
We eat all the time in CABA, at good restaurants for closer to half of 50 dollars a person.

I love Argentina, and always find good things to eat.
But hey, everybody is different, you do you.

the restaurant You mention is close to 18000 pesos per one Main course as of december 2024 . now it's probably 22000 pesos per plate . I ate there once and was very disappointed in the lack of protein in their Main courses . it sermed all vegetables with just 100 grams of meat per serving . Koreans are huge meat eaters and would never ever tolerate this . That is why it's only for argentinians and expats .
Just checked online the Dish is called bulgogi it's now 25800 pesos for one course . If you think this is cheap Ries You must live in Mónaco .

I follow this youtuber who is in Shanghai and look how cheap food is there at least 5 times cheaper in US dollars . Icecream cones for 50 cents sweet and sour pork for 4 dollars . dunplings for two dollars . . a good chinese meal in Buenos Aires Will easily set You back 35 dollars per person . many charge up to 7 dollars for a small bowl of white rice ,!!!!

I have been going to Fa Song Song since before the Pandemic. I have never once been there when there were not Koreans there eating. Probably at least half the times, we were the only non-koreans.
I also go sometimes to Mr. HO, Kimchee Gardens, and Doma, all korean restaurants in Retiro.
I have never been in any of them when there were not Koreans eating.
All of them are much closer to my apartment than Shanghai.

The reviews for this most expensive korean restaurant are very poor about the measly portions amd dearest prices of the planet . Nowhere in the world would a standard korean restaurant charge 20 dollars us for bulgolgi that has at most 100 grams of meat .

In Tokyo Japan prices are less than Half Argentinas but with vastly superior Quality and portón sizes .

In Tokyo Japan prices are less than Half Argentinas but with vastly superior Quality and portón sizes .

I have been in mid range korean restaurants in the last six months in Seattle, and in Vancouver, and, admittedly, I did not have a scale on me, and did not separate the meat portions, but $25 to $35 is a VERY average price for bulgolgi in both the USA and Canada.
I know nothing about Australian prices, but you are completely out of touch with North American prices.

And Fa Song Song is NOT "very expensive", nor are the portions measly, but i advise you not to go.
Most people, however, would probably enjoy it.
I think, in current Argentina, its pretty reasonable, and not terribly expensive.
Don Julio is 4 to 6 times the price, as are quite a few high end restaurants here.

A 5 min Google search I came up with this superb korean restaurant that has all you can eat buffett for leds than 20 dollars per person weekdays And their bulgolgi Is 17 dollars por a plate for 2 .
