Disappointed with Food in Argentina

A 5 min Google search I came up with this superb korean restaurant that has all you can eat buffett for leds than 20 dollars per person weekdays
There are probably tens of thousands of distinct dishes across East and Southeast Asian cuisines. It's a fair bet that for any one of them, you'll find a place - probably somewhere in Asia - where it's made better and costs less. If you're into Asian food and it plays an important role in your life, Buenos Aires shouldn't be your primary destination. So there's absolutely no point in naming all the dishes one by one.

And their bulgolgi Is 17 dollars por a plate for 2 .
It's called bulgogi, by the way.

Buenos aires has a huge asían population and was well known for it's cheap and flavourful asían food options . I remember a amazing buffet we did with ba expats i'm 2005 at a chinese restaurant i'm belgrano . it was 5 dollars per person then family style buffett

A 5 min Google search I came up with this superb korean restaurant that has all you can eat buffett for leds than 20 dollars per person weekdays And their bulgolgi Is 17 dollars por a plate for 2 . The cheapest korean buffett in buenos Aires Is now 45000 pesos per person or nearly double this Seattle place which looks superb .https://youtube.com/shorts/GmTVXoZTQVc?si=YcnfrwYOtezfQ51Z

Peso Libre? Seriously?
This place is a minimum 4 hour round trip from my US home, so that alone rules it out, but steam table dining is not in my culinary future.

My favorite store is Club Saludable on Av. Callao near Av. Cordoba. I want to share these photos I took to demonstrate the incredible variety of products they sell, including American brands.View attachment 10647View attachment 10648View attachment 10649View attachment 10650View attachment 10651View attachment 10652View attachment 10653View attachment 10654View attachment 10655View attachment 10656

I'll check this place out although the sauces on the second line I think I've tried them all and found them all pretty blergh. Maybe I'm just so subconsciously conditioned to dislike Argentine food and can't enjoy things I would otherwise enjoy back home. Or maybe covid did something to my sense of taste even though as far as I'm aware I've never had covid. Anyway there are some items there I've never tried that look interesting so thanks

I've been looking for Vermont Maple Syrup. Tried the Canadian one sold here but found it disappointing.

Has anyone seen the Vermont one?

Canada syrup is just as high quality as VT syrup. The issue is that Canada exporters have chosen to send the thinest and least tasty variety to Argentina because that is all the market here can spend (after import/export taxes). If some Vermont exporter does send here, the quality will probably be much less than the type you know back home.

Great place! That's where I shop, too. Hope to run into you there sometime.

Isn't this the case with just about everything exported to Argentina - countries like China send their lowest quality goods that wouldn't be accepted in richer countries?
