With so much s**t flying around at the moment, one never knows what is around the next corner....................
Anibal Fernandez, getting really hot under the collar when asked why he saves in UNITED STATES DOLLARS, for example.
On the other hand we have ministers stating that we, the common people should lose our addiction (read obsession) to the Great Greenback and think in pesos.
Meanwhile, where do our beloved leaders put their stash?
Pesofication?
Don't you believe it my friends.
Two words that have singular meaning for me....SMOKE SCREEN.
Jumble those two words up and see what you come up with.
Easy really.

Moreover, today it was reported that these ministers themselves save in US dollars, Bodou himself even has a larger US dollar account than Peso account, and his Peso account showed a modest 15.000 peso balance.

CLEARLY do as we say and not as we do. Reminds me of Cristina talking about how great Argentine-made goods are but then strutting around in European designer goods and jewelry, driving an Audi, sending her baby to college in NYC, or Budou tweeting from his Iphone.

I've said it before and I will say it again: To me, it's not a question of one party or another, its a question of self-respect and not wanting to feel like I am being taken for a fool by someone who is not practicing what they themselves adamently preach to the masses.

Asked once again why he did pick dollars over pesos, and if he would sell his dollars to collect pesos as he’s been recommending, the Senator exploded:
"First of all, I bought dollars because I felt like it. Didn’t you listen what I just said? It’s my money and my right to do whatever I want with my money."
And second of all, please do not ask me to do things that only a stupid person would do. I’m not stupid. I’m just a regular guy who made some money. I will neither sell my dollars at the official exchange rate nor at the black market price. Leave them [dollars] where they are as they are well kept.”

Do they think before they speak?

And this:

"The very same Senator, warned two days ago that Argentina “should forget about the dollar and better start thinking in pesos”, after explaining that “only 11 percent of the population have their savings in dollars. Plus, the dollar is only printed in the US, we don’t have the green-maker.

Not only are those in power complete hypocrites, who don't think before they speak, but they even think in terms of how much money they can print to try to further their policies a little more.

Too bad they can't lift these idiotic policies and think in free market instead of primarily in how they are going to print more money...

I´m no economist, but isn´t that what the free markets have been doing for the last fifty years? printing more money? it doesn´t look like that good a system. However I´m no nobel prize winner like good ´ole Milt...

Obviously you are not, since the terms "free market" and "printing money" never go hand in hand. Printing money is by definition a non-free market act. It is a deliberate government act to cover up government spending, discourage savings and de-base the currency.

So if the goverment isn´t spending on public education public health etc and the goverment is privatising or aiding a free market for industries such as power, telecommunications, water, security etc and giving up that source of income it needs to raise taxes and discourage savings to make the system move, more or less? but people dont have enough so they print more or encourage private orgs to offer credit.
Sorry, im lost already, are we talking Argentina or north america?

The sad thing is, al these irrational restrictions weakens Argentina more and more. If you want to succeed, you need to compete with the world and open your country. But I guess, the private account of the government members seem to be more important. Really sad
