Thank you for your very informative posts that show intelligence and clear understanding . A society is not based on its resources but it is certainly based on its management of its resources and its level of corruption . The richest country of the world in natural resources is Congo Africa but of course its people live in hell on earth with most earning less than US$ 100 per month . Its elite are very rich and their capital Kinshasha is one of the most expensive on the planet . The corruption in this country is mindboggling and is the reason for its dire situation . Watch this documentary link below ( one of the best documentaries I have ever seen !!! Congo has had a very troubled historyTo top it off, Buenos Aires excessive centrality and disparity with other regions is certainly something to take into account. This is from a 2017 article showing the Human Development Index of every Province as elaborated by the UN. The Provinces at the bottom have African levels of poverty, with Santiago del Estero being disturbing.
Argentina is a mid range country with tremendous potential and wealth . The only reason it is in the state it is is due to its political system and its inherent corruption that is taught as something honorable . There is a level of shameless behaviour here that is unheard of in most countries and this is a learned behaviour . Maradona is a prime example of a repulsive individual that will do anything to make a buck . He has no redeeming qualities at all but he is still treated like a god by many people here . In Japan , Australia , and Norway Maradona would have been kicked to the curb over 20 years ago .
People need to have good role models and a society that does not promote this is doomed to failure as we have seemed by the argentina experiment in the last 80 years with booms and busts every 10 years . The argentinian people are very tolerant to bad behaviour and seem to accept that their politicians will steal millions . In Brazil , Peru and Chile people would be up in arms much sooner with the scandals of its politicians and would demand changes . This does not happen here why is that ?
I love Argentina very much and for this reason I demand a change but when will it happen ? When will we have security and stability here which are the backbone of most societies . How can one plan anything here when things are so unstable most of the time . This is the question on everyones lips .
