Documentary On Sexual Tourism In Buenos Aires

I have never heard of anyone going to Argentina specifically for paid sex. The Czech Republic, Philippines, Thailand, Brazil or Dominican Republic, sure. But Argentina?

Just google Argentina Private... it's been mentioned obliquely on here a few times. What about the guy who was "hiking the appalachian trail"?

If you count him, then pretty much all dating is "Paying for Sex". So you should just interview people who moved her because they like Argentine girls in general. You can call them what you want, it's your film, but... whatever.

So you are saying that there are people that come all the way to Argentina just for paid sex? I am sure there are many cases of business people and tourists who come here and end up hooking up with a pro. But travelling all the way with the primary purpose of paid sex? That sounds very counter intuitive to me.

Perhaps the biggest draw in Buenos AIres may be the Trans vestite/gender/male/female/it prostitutes.

I was pitching a reality called "sex-pats": They come for the malbec, they stay for the sex. The main problem if finding people willing to be followed by a camera (probably easier for a radio story). I have met some expats for whom sex tourism is the second reason for being here, but few for who it is the first.

As a documentary filmmaker, you are going to have a hard time finding someone to appear on camera. Not impossible, but very hard, especially if they are from the USA where things are more moralistic. You could probably find an Argentine to talk on camera (google Guillermo Coppola).

I would suggest instead of asking on a list serve, go everynight to the boliches where sex is sold in an open manner and make friends with the owners and regulars, after a while you might find someone willing to talk, but you are going to have to work and build trust.
