The dollar blue traded at $7,12 with a gap of 44% with the official rate....!! Some isolated operations traded at $ 7,30 ....!! The upward tendency will persist at least until mid February, the end of vacations departures. The difficulties in obtaining the dollars at the official rate pushes travellers to the cuevas...!!

El dólar "blue" se disparó a $ 7,12 y la brecha con el oficial alcanzó el 44%

Doomsday Preppers should have an Argentine version based on how people are preparing for life without a Kirchner.

Very appropriate and timely the Show deals with economic collapse and societal collapse, perhaps one should ask Anibal Fernandez for a Forecast, he predicted that the Blue Dollar would collapse the next day..... jajjajaja!! Only Pro-K individuals believe the Blue Dollar will go down in the near future (before March) Those that believe that should SELL NOW...!!

If any one needs to sell dollars today pm.
Thanks

Great news for people making an income in USD (including me), but if we open a new thread everytime the dollar raises, we're going to have many of them (not cool for the expats making pesos too).

Me in moralist mode :eek:p

Frenchie, I can understand your "malaise" about the subject since you predicted the dollar was going to go way down...!! :D
On the other hand it's important to keep the community informed, so they get the best rates available B) .
.
Alas, C'est la vie....!!

I (and others too, likely you as well, I don't keep track) predicted the dollar would raise in December, back in September or so.
I also predicted the dollar would lower in january (I don't think I mentionned "way down") before going up again in the following months and the month is not over yet.
Will the dollar go lower than 7 by the end of January? Could be, then I would have predicted wrongly that one, anyway, I wouldn't even have a virtual caramelo for predicting right :p

Now, to predict what the rate will be in december 2013 is a hard task, as it is it should be around 9 but there are many factors.

My comment was just a form of empathy for people making money in pesos (if that was you or I, you'd likely get annoyed reading over and over people happy about the dollar going up), hence maybe the non-need to create multiple threads, nothing else.

I understand what you're talking about. My wife earns in pesos here and every time the blue rate goes up, we start recalculating our budgets (okay not EVERY time but you know...). This is taking a hit on us as the value of pesos keeps decreasing and taxes and other expenses keep on increasing, sh*t's going haywire.

On the other hand we have savings outside the country from our income when we were abroad. In about a year what we can buy with the savings in terms of pesos has roughly doubled. So it all evens out, or goes in our favor in the end.

While there are people who solely earn in pesos and have no income or savings in dollars but if they are "offended" by these posts, the simplest thing is to not click on them I think. The title's pretty clear anyway.

I for one am glad that Rich One keeps us updated.
