It’s very good, but the best steakhouse in the world?

His wine cellar is very impressive mind you.

According to a friend that worked there 98% , or more, of the patrons are tourists. Can someone describe the pluses of the bife de Chorizo at Don Julio to command a price that is double or more of the market price.?

Best steak house in Argentina IMO is Boliche de Alberto in Bariloche. Don Julio is very good that’s for sure.

it's a fantastic steakhouse, for sure. the quality of meat is simply great, i had started buying from the butcher shop to cook at home. who knows if it is the best, i don't have tons of others to make a comparison to.

The mollejas are pretty good too.

But if you buy from his butchers and have a bit of skill on the parilla you can pretty much match the experience at home in my humble opinion.

We went to las lilas the other day and couldn’t believe the prices and it’s not a patch on Don Julio to be fair.

Don Julio is mediocre in my experience and is an overhyped tourist trap.
Elena and Mirasol de la Recova have far better steaks and both have truly outstanding and extensive wine lists.
