Ok, I was wondering if anyone has ever seen Ziploc bags or something similar in any store in BsAs?
:p
I have looked in Disco, Coto, Icky (hahaha Eki), Jumbo and of course any local little shops I happen to pass.

We have the lamest fridge in the world and are hoping some Ziploc bags will make our lettuce and such last more than 6 hours inside.

Thank you!!!

I've seen Ziploc bags at Coto and Jumbo. They are usually around the cleaning supplies. The only difference is that they come in a package of only 6 or so. No 100 count boxes here!

I have definitely seen zip lock bags, can't remember where ( Disco on Paraguay in Palermo). Also, about 1 or 2 hours before making salad I run some cold water over the lettuce, shake a little, and put back in fridge. That will crisp it up!

goodness gracious, ok, perhaps it is only the supermercados in my barrio that don't carry them! I will go to Palermo and check at Carrefour, too. Mil gracias :)
Ah yeah, the water crisping up trick. Usually though by the time we get to the lettuce it is past water crisping up potential, moving into might need a viagra territory.
Oh and about that peanut butter...

You can also wrap a few leaves of lettuce in damp paper towel or tea towel and then put in a zip lock. That seems to work... maybe using the same principle as "crisping."

I found zip locks right next to the garbage bags and saran wrap at Jumbo.

ask for bolsas hermeticas if you can't find them.

Palermo Paraguay Disco has the brand zip locks above the freezer section.

if you have a salad spinner after washing the lettuce put it back in the spinner and refrigerate this works the best for me and i have quite crispy lettuce
and with the price of lettuce, no one can afford to have to go bad!
