Electrodomestics From Abroad: Vale La Pena? Sí Se Puede?

What about a heated/electric blanket? I wouldn't be buying these things. They are things that I already have in the states that I don't want to spend money on here.

So far the cheapest coffee pot I have found was 900 pesos... and it wasn't even a fancy one. On the other hand, in the US, I can buy a fairly nice one for 20 USD (see amazon). I just think it's ridiculous to pay 1000 pesos (about 64usd) here for a midline drip coffee pot--especially because I already have one stateside.

Same goes for the electric blanket :)

If you have time check aliexpress.com. It can take a few weeks to get to the US from China but a lot of things have free shipping and no import duties to the USA (I believe packages under $400 aren't subject to tariffs) . Search for stuff with Australia/NZ/China plugs as usually those are more frequently listed as the plug type and not Argentina (the plugs are the same). This is also not a bad solution for anyone in Argentina with a US forwarding address.
