Empanadas: baked or fried?

Passover Empanadas... de Vigilia..!
You are right, that's the name: de Vigilia. They have great ones in San Isidro, too, at the Confiteria La Argentina. If you ever come this way, it's worth a visit. It's been in business for over a hundred years, and still has the original Art Nouveau carved oak counters. Otamendi 384, in downtown San Isidro.

Best used to be at Confteria
Salteñas have potato pieces inside. Raisins, Olives, hard boiled egg?

Seafood Empanadas Fritas de Camaron..!!

They must be nicely shaped.. !" Golden Brown and Juicy..! Empanadas .

A saying was "A good empanada must be so Juicy, that the juice will burn your hand , and mess your shoe, the edges must be soft and eatable..!

Try Confieria Via Dolce Av, Santa Fe 3637

They are soggy,.
Strange - of all the people I know in Recoleta, you are the only one who doesn't like them. Must be particularly hard to please. Luckily, you like La Biela....!

I stand corrected - make it two. Sorry you don't like them, but to each his own. People drive from Belgrano to buy them.
I mean, ARGENTINES love them, and drive from Belgrano to buy them. Perhaps they are a bit too authentic to please foreign palates. That sometimes happen - I found the locro salteño in Salta almost inedible, but my local relatives loved it.
