Empanadas: baked or fried?

Strange - of all the people I know in Recoleta, you are the only one who doesn't like them. Must be particularly hard to please. Luckily, you like La Biela....!

I don't dislike them. I just don't think they're great. They tend to be soggy.

Indeed. Have you eaten anything similar to them in Capital. If yes, where?
There's a little place on Esmeralda, just off Libertador, that is much better. The empanadas are smaller, much taster,.

Ceviche,

Unfortunately I haven't found a spot in Capital that has matched the ones I had in Salta. The spicy sauces they would serve with them really made it for me.

I agree with Sergio that Costumbres Criollas are pretty good. Ña Serapia is another place that makes Salta style empanadas that I remember being tasty.

Also La Paceña. Not sure which specific style it is, but several of their varieties are juicy and spicy.

I can't believe no one has mentioned 1810. Many people's favorite NW traditional empanadas (corner Julian Alverez and Guatemala and 2 more locations).

Also for fried empanada's La Carbonera Empanadas Venezolanas (fried). Bigger than usual. (corner Araoz and El Salvador)
