Magnesium sulphate .... in spanish sulfato de magnesio

glaubers salt (sodium sulphate) has some similar properties - presumably require an antacid?

any pharmacist should be able to advise - and standards in Argentina are better than most

In UK I lived for a while in Ewell just down the road from Epsom. May be interesting to know that the whole Epsom salt thing was a scam in an effort to big up the town as a "spa". when once the brackish pool up on the heath dried out from too many wealthy people freely "dipping", the perpetrator used to catch the train up to london every month and replenish the well at the back of his Inn with german manufactured magnesium sulphate on the quiet and turn a nice steady profit.

The Sulfato de Magnesio (aka Sal Ingles) is , IMHO, overpriced when purchased at the farmacias. If you need a bulk amount of Magnesium sulfate, I recommend the lady who sells it here- http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar...o-sal-de-epsom-sales-de-bano-bolsa-x-1-kg-_JM . She also has delivery available.

the scam is explicitly set out in a book in the Bourne Hall Museum in Ewell so now I have to go back there and find it. An enjoyable task as its a lovely part of the world.
