Expat cinemas

Hey, is anybody aware of any cinemas in BA which screen spanish language movies with english subtitles?

Nope, sorry. You'll just have to wait until the movie is out on DVD to get the English subs.

Cinemas have been systematically gone out of business over the last two decades. Even the fairly new complexes (?) have run into financial trouble (Village Recoleta, etc.). Going to the movies is expensive.

Too small an audience, rising costs of operation and at a later date the availability of home theaters, better and larger TVs, the interwebs and easily available bootlegs. Even the once familiar video rental stores have been almost anihilated.

All of the movies I´ve seen lately have had English subtitles. I think this is because they are on DVDs and they forget to turn the subtitles off.
Try MALBA and Gaumont.
However, there is no promise that there will be subtitles. you need to ask.
