G-day
Does anyone have first hand experience exporting goods out of Argentina, and into Australia?

I am particularly interested in the following (BA end):
  • who are the parties that I would need to deal with? (freighters/ customs)
  • What are the charges?
  • How difficult is it to do?
  • Is there a trustworthy bilingual agent that can deal with the paperwork & freighting process?
Any information will be much appreciated.

Cheers
Natalie

If you are shipping via container you will need the services of a Despachante de Aduana. There are hundreds of them in Capital Federal. They can provide all of the information you seek. I suggest you contact several. Rates can vary.

I found this website interesting: http://www.vancomex.com/

Here is one Australian company that can provide more information regarding import duties and related costs with general information: http://www.wwcf.com.au/company.html?gclid=CMH2rcXY6JkCFQNaFQod0yFMSQ

It might be best to contact them first. If they don't have an office in BA, they may have established contacts with a despanchante de aduana here and they obviously will speak English.

There are many related sites you can quickly find with a google search.

Thanks Steve. I shall have a look at your links.
Have you first hand experience in exporting or sending goods back to Oz?
