I think you're missing the point. All I'm saying is it depends on the private employer if they get the time off not the employee unless it's unpaid. It's subjective opinion that "most" will be off. I don't think an employee can make the decision for themselves otherwise they may find themselves without a job when they get back.

I also know people working on those days in the offices since they may be working to international deadlines.

Anyway I'm tired of this debate.

1) "Opinions" are by rule, "subjective".

2) "Most" = ">50%", and I think that we will see that this will be true. Whether it proves out or not, it will absolutely NOT be "subjective" and especially not a "subjective opinion".

Working in Turismo, I'm just like Steve... except that I don't always work.

And this past week long weekend when I finally DID take a vacation? I missed out on LOTS of work. So I spent money AND lost money. Oy caramba!
