Can anyone recommend an ophthalmologist? Preferably one who speaks English. Thanks.

Hi there, in Vicente Lopez right? I can look up a few for you, in your area there are quite a bit, and the best ones right by Unicenter.

Doctor Pablo Andersson. Works out of the British Hospital. He has private consulting rooms too but I can't lay my hand on his business card right now.

Yes AlfajorEfi, please let me know if you can remember their names.
Elhombresinnombre, thanks! Where is the British Hospital?

Sorry, I should have called it by its proper name- Hospital Británico. It's on Perdriel near the junction of Entre Rios and Veléz Sarsfield. A google for Hospital Británico throws up a map as the first result.

I don't know if they speak English, but I liked the people at Centro de Ojos San Isidro. http://www.cosi.com.ar/
They accept OSDE.

If not, supposedly one of the best eye doctors in the country is Dr. Zaldivar.

The clinic is very nice, but a little expensive since they didn't accept my 210 basic OSDE plan. It was like 400 pesos for the checkup.

I was not impressed at all by the large eye clinic near Unicenter (Nano?). The wait was super long, and then the doctor was rather rude, telling us we should come in the morning instead of the afternoon. I was rather displeased, however his diagnosis wasn't wrong and my mother in law swears by the place. Perhaps just avoid going on a Saturday night if you can. :)

Wherever you go, make sure they wipe down the equipment in front of you and avoid touching your eyes (wash after touching door handles, shaking hands, etc.) I picked up a rather nasty conjuntivitis after visiting eye doctors for another condition. I can't be 100% sure it was from one of the clinics, but best to be safe. ;)
