Is that why when I went to my one and only baseball game most of the fans were too busy tucking into hotdogs and taking selfies of themselves to be interested in the game, which lets face it is just a glorified game of rounders.

I know an Irish bar owner in San Francisco that was telling me how much he loves baseball because Giants fans sit and drink for 3 hours straight 4-6 times per week.

Baseball is a great reason to drink beer. Beyond that there is not much reason to watch it despite what our resident baseball Jihadist might believe.

You really shouldnt generalise about things, perhaps some (a minority) fans in world football let off flares. The majority dont. I`ve been going to football games in England for 35 years, probably 10-15 at least a season. I`ve witnessed only a handful of occasions flares have ever gone off, we prefer to watch the game and support our team.

Gnatfans are a unique case. Despite their recent success (luck, really), they're still defensive and resentful after six decades of frustration. So it's not surprising they get smashed at the bar.
