I have overstayed my visa and heard as a result I will need to pay a fine. I heard that this can be done at the airport. I heard also, this can be done in advance somewhere downtown. If anyone knows where it can be done downtown and would let me know the process I'd appreciate it very much. Thanks!

You do not want to do it "downtown" as that means going to the office of migraciones.

They might give you ten days to leave the country and you will be liable for another fine if you leave after those ten days.

Just wait and pay at the airport. You'll need to go a couple hours earlier than normal, but it isn't nearly as much trouble as going to migraciones.

Don't worry. It's not a crime to overstay your visa.

Thank you so much for your reply. I only wanted to pay it in advance because my flight is very early. Does anyone know if the place where you pay in the airport open 24-7? Does the procedure take a long time (what doesn't in BSAS!)?
