Hola,

anyone have info on whether its possible to fly local rates without the needed proof of residence? It seems to be double the price!

Anyone done this before? What would happen if they do ask for proof at boarding gate? Possibly have to pay the other half?

Unfortunately not travelling on USD or Euros, trying to make a little go a long way :)

Thanks

thanx for the reply...

Had a look at the link,
wondering if its worth the risk, just worked out the price difference between bussing (20hrs+), flying(2hrs maso meno) as gringo and flying as local (illegally yes i suppose)

bussing and flying same price, proper price for flight is double!

might just take the risk. If we need to pay for the other half of flight then? Just don't want to be taken off the flight completely.

Why Why why so expensive! :(

I did it last year. We even went to the Aerolineas office to pay for it. They never gave me a problem, but then again..I could have just gotten lucky. I find you never know here. lol.

I have flown local price with out being asked for a DNI.
I think the trick is to print the boarding pass at home..
the worse case scenario you pay the difference..
But my parents who are not locals and do not speak a word of Spanish flew to Iguazo with the local price 2 years ago, and in February we were 4 adults and 2 kids who flew to Mendoza when only my husband and baby have a DNI. We all paid the local fare and were never asked for anything..had the printed boarding pass so just checked in some luggage
