Food import restrictions

Um... I don't know much about economics, but is that article saying that the supermarkets will have to export an equal amount of goods (price wise) as they import?? (In the same way international car companies like BMW and Porsche have to?)
How does a national supermarket do that? Isn't their target market the people living IN the country?

If automakers in Argentina are exporting wine in order to import items (i.e., minimize trade deficit), why can't Wal-Mart and Coto do the same? Welcome to Argentina.

This import "no nail policy" is going to get interesting. Talking to the Otis elevator repair guy and they cannot import repair parts: everything tied up in customs. Start climbing 25 flights of stairs to get to your apartment is going to get old quickly.
