This has been very helpful. Now, where is it that you can get these large amounts of pesos exchanged for U.S. dollars?

I agree with McDuh, I've had Schwab checking and investing accounts for a few years and have been very happy. If the bank that owns the ATM charges you anything Schwab pays for it! Also, I have found that I can do 10 withdrawls per day at HSBC ATMs with any debit or credit card, up to ~600 pesos each time.

You folks are corret about CitiBank. Just remember it has to be one of the non-Banelco ATM's. The good news is most Argentines are lined-up at the Banelco ATM and your wait to use the other is short or not at all.

However, I am a CitiBank customer, I thought these ATM's are for use of Citibank customers only? Could be wrong.
