Walmart here is very good at this.

They usually have some (discontinued) flat screen TVs at a 25% discount from a previously "competitive" price.

They have clearance prices on electric fans as winter approaches and the same on electric heaters as Spring draws near.

The last 3 dozen cans of refried beans I bought there had been marked down to $9 pesos per can.

Amazing, I've only once seen a place discount stuff that is damaged/about to go out of date etc.

Dia had some meat 2 for 1 with tape wrapped around it. I gave it a miss as it was still more expensive than my local butchers and you had no way of seeing what was in the carton bellow.

Walmart here always discounts the display model of any flat screen TV when it is the last one.

Recently, they started offering zero interest payments (often 12) on purchases of electronics made with almost all credit cads, not just their own.

It's exactly the kind of behavior I would expect from a structurally evil corporate chain.
