Cómo fue el robo de combustible que terminó con 12 policías presos en Rosario
La malversación de 45 millones de pesos por mes complica al secretario privado del jefe de Rosario.

Some quotes from the story -
"The prosecutor's analysis of this matter focuses specifically on one of those arrested to highlight the depth of the embezzlement and its political dimension. This is Supervising Commissioner Rodrigo Domínguez. He was the right-hand man of Rosario's police chief, Daniel Acosta, until Monday. The Pullaro administration removed him from the crime but relieved him of his position because under his command a network developed that embezzled 45 million pesos a month in public funds for almost a year, using overpricing."

The scandal involving the theft of fuel supplies from the Rosario Police Headquarters, which prompted the intervention of that police unit, has three aspects that investigators are analyzing. It is not episodic but systemic, as other recent investigations from the past have revealed. It is not a matter of isolated officers but has an institutional nature that implicates the highest commands. It does not end with the twelve imprisoned police officers, several of them veteran chiefs, but extends to more sectors with leadership.

Commissioner Rodrigo Domínguez is a 44-year-old lawyer. He was head of the Judicial Division six years ago at a time when he was caught short by a corruption investigation involving funds to repair police vehicles. A case in which the then deputy police chief of Rosario, Ariel Zancocchia, was charged with criminal association, along with six other officers. Until Monday, Domínguez was the head of the Rosario police chief's private office. For investigators in the case, he is a key link in the network of police officers who purchased fuel at a gas station that sometimes wasn't even filled. Several officers collected Visa Fleet cards for this purpose.

The preliminary hearing for embezzlement of public funds requested by prosecutor José Luis Caterina following the 38 raids carried out on Monday will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. The investigation was coordinated with the Pullaro administration's Police Control Secretariat. A sum of cash close to one hundred thousand dollars was seized from the home of two of the now-detained police officers, two of the highest-ranking officers. There were also millions of pesos in that seized possession.
