Furniture Stores In Ba

You still have not said what part of town you are in. If in the great Northern Suburbs , the design center across the Pan Americana from the Unicenter has a good selection. It is a mall with dozens of stores with top manufacturers. There are also a lot of furniture store around the Unicenter. For real rustic , there is Tigre in the North. Basic wood children's furniture you can paint yourself , Bunk beds , kids tables and chairs. The recomendation for Maria Maranessi is seconded. She actually has couple houses stuffed with furniture that went unsold at sales , as well as her weekly "Feria Americana". If you go , go early as there is always a line , and the good stuff goes fast.

If you don't mind buying second hand, there is a company here called Maria Maranessi who organise sales every weekend. We recently contracted them to sell all our furniture, electronics etc as we are leaving Argentina. You can see all the upcoming sales on their website and facebook page. You can get some major bargains in the sales, most prices are negotiable. Had I known this company existed 4 years ago when I moved here first, I could have saved myself a fortune!!!!

Here is the link to the website: http://mariamaranessi.com/

Info on the site indicates that there were more than 300 sales in 2012 but no figures are provided for 2013 and (as of this morning) there are no sales scheduled in the future.

The upcoming weekend sales are announced every Wednesday, they normally have about 5 each weekend. If you subscribe to their mailing list or their Facebook page, you will get all updates, addresses and info for all the sales. Prices cannot be accessed through the internet though, you have to go to the sale and purchase on the day (or leave a deposit).

New wooden furniture is also available in the flea market. You can see what they're making and probably order specially.

Tigre is famous for wicker. They carve it from trees out there. Tigre also famous for algarrobo furniture. Very hard. Last a lifetime forget 12 months...

Tigre also has pino... but why go to Tigre when pino is available everywhere in the city. We typically hit Pinolandia.

Alvares Thomas (2206) and Mariano Acha is Pinolandia. Bought my kids cuna, drawers, then bed, etc etc. They can paint it for you if you'd like for an extra few pesos. Stuff is already cheap so no need to negotiate. But you can try. He delivers for like 200 pesos.

For classic furniture Avenida Dorrego El Mercado de Pulgas is always fun. Classic pieces, plenty of antiques, that can be negotiated down to 50% of sticker.

Even if you don't buy you gotta go!

We get ours at a place in Don Tortucato on rte 202 - http://www.estancia-muebles.com.ar. (about 1/2 mile from Pan Americana) They have furniture available but also made a ton of custom stuff for us. They did the tables and cabinets you see here:

They also did our bar, etc. Reasonably priced as well compared to in town.
