Hello Forum,

can anyone recommend an area to shop in for furniture stores? I'm specifically looking for an ergonomic office chair and a bunkbed for my child.

Thanks.

Not sure what your style is but you can get some 'vintage' stuff at the Mercado de las Pulgas in the Colegiales neighborhood. I got an amazing desk there. Not all the stuff there needs work, just love.

Good luck with the office chair. I was so disgusted with the prices and selection that I finally welded together a square tube frame and strapped an auto seat into it. Auto seats tend to be much more ergonomic anyway in my opinion, and there happened to be a place nearby where I could buy them cheaply. I did mine in the style of a glider-rocker.

If you like vintage there's a couple of stores in Flores, Av. Rivadavia 7700-7900. One is more "window shopper" friendly, the other is like a huge warehouse, if looking for something special or not readily available on sight, ask the attendants and they will usher you to one of the upstairs floors where thousands of chairs, tables, objects, furniture await their new destination.
