Like I said, it makes washing up a lot easier, something I always do with gloves on. If I don't want the water that warm I turn on the faucet in the middle of the hot/cold range and then adjust until I get the right temperature. It's not rocket science.

You're 100% correct about the energy costs though. It increases exponentially with the temperature.
 
It definitely cleanses better, especially it degreases best, but I can't stand 60°C on my hands, even if I am wearing gloves (1 mm of rubber... c'mon).
I do use hot water to wash the floor (so that it dries faster), but that's all.
