Getting married & temporary residency after new Law

I hope all of you are doing well.

I need some information regarding translators in CABA and temporary residency.

I have to translate my birth certificate and no marriage certificate. So I need a translator.

As a Mercosur permanent resident, I can enter Argentina anytime without any visa, I just have to show my Permanent ID and they allow me to enter Argentina for a specific period of time, is it enough for getting married or do I have to enter on a visa?

I would like to know about temporary residency term. Would it be renewed annually or at once I will get a 2 or 3 years DNI?

How kong does it take to get a temporary residency based on family reunification?

Will I be allowed to travel abroad or I have to stay in Argentina to fulfill the 2 years residency requirement?

Just a bit confused about new law that's why need information.

I think you are saying you are a Mercosur resident and you want to enter Argentina and get married here to an Argentine and then obtain Argentine residency. If so, I think your questions are:

I am married to an Argentine woman but due to some reasons, we have to get married again in Argentina.

If you get married during the 90 days and, having got married and having the marriage certificate in your hand apply for the family reunion temporary residency during the 90 days, you can stay longer than the 90 days if the National Migration Directorate take more than the 90 days to process your application. When they receive your application for temporary residency (for example, on day, 30, or 60, or 89), they issue you a precaria residency that enables you to say in the country until the process finishes (there is more detail about the precaria residency, but you don't need to know that yet).

If you don't succeed in doing everything during the 90 days (e.g. you get married on day 20 but you don't manage to get all the documentation and the application ready by day 90), you can apply for another 90 day extension from the directorate to buy more time to marry and prepare the application.

In other words, once you are in Argentina, they won't throw you out of the country while the process is underway. You have up to 180 days, if you need that long, to get married and submit the documentation. Once the directorate receives your application, they may process it quickly, or slowly, but even if they are slow, you will have a precaria residency that enables you to stay while they do their work.

Once you have the temporary residency, you will need to stay here at least 183 days to be able to renew it for a second year. After you've completely the second year (again being sure to spend 183 days here), you would be eligible (because of Mercosur) to apply for permanent residency.

No. BUT, you have to renew the precaria from time to time. It has an expiry date. If you are outside the country on the expiry date, the process lapses and you have to start again from zero. (This is the detail I mentioned above.)

@Alby, is this according to the new law? I thought under the new law you had to stay in the country for 2 years without leaving, once you get your precaria, otherwise the process resets. Or is that the citizenship timer?

Can you clarify how / from where you know this?
