Getting married & temporary residency after new Law

I have to translate my birth certificate and no marriage certificate. So I need a translator.

You can also contact him via PM at Seba W. through BAexpats.

He is Argentine and resides in CABA. He speaks English flawlessly.
I can attest to that as he attends our weekly Tuesday Coffee Chats.
Given that I assume he is equally capable as translator of documents.

@Alby, is this according to the new law? I thought under the new law you had to stay in the country for 2 years without leaving, once you get your precaria, otherwise the process resets. Or is that the citizenship timer?

Can you clarify how / from where you know this?
I think you are confusing citizenship and residency. My comments were only in respect of residency, but not even residency in this case, instead the precaria phase that comes before Migraciones even issues a temporary residency. My information on that precise matter comes from personal experience. On one occasion, while on precaria, I left the country without a return ticket before the expiry/renewal date on the precaria. That was a mistake. I had to change my flights to get back into Argentina before the expiry/renewal date, otherwise Migraciones would not have processed the renewal application and I would have fallen out of the system and had to start again.

It's an anecdote from a couple of years ago now, but I imagine that particular wrinkle in the system would still be in place: Why would Migraciones approve an extension to a precaria if the person can even be bothered being in the country at the time they are processing it?
