Good Market To Buy Seafood?

Are you talking about the one on bonorino and falcon? That one is very good although I'd still have to give barrio chino an edge.

Yes, that one. I have yet to buy in the Barrio Chino. What are the prices like compared to the one in Flores?

Central market:

This place looks amazing!!! When are you planning on going again? Maybe I could share the expense of gas and go with you... :)

There's a new fish market in Las Cañitas at the corner of Arce and Ortego y Gasset. Very clean place. Fish is visible on ice for you to choose, of course.

For pine nuts, read this thread http://baexpats.org/...hl__+pine +nuts

For seafood, Barrio Chino is in fact the best option (go to the supermarket facing a school = on calle Mendoza, between Arribenos & Montaneses). Otherwise you have Ostramar on Santa Fe (a bit pricy). Going to Central Market will provide you with prices 20/25% lower but that will be the same offering as in Capital (plus the cost of going there). I'm still looking for fresh King Crab from Ushuaïa and I'll ask a seafood importer from BA next week about that (likely a group purchase will be needed).

Salmon is 40 up to 55 pesos at the CM, it means 50% off.

At pescaderias they make filets with the old fish while at CM the filets comes straight from Mar del Plata and they are made with fresh fish.

They don t stock, you can see trucks arriving all the time with fresh fish.

Even you can see on ice the common stuff, if you ask them, they have it or they bring it.

Regards

The markets from the city gouvernment are great, for fish - salmon $75 per kilo - langostines $60 per kilo - calamar $ per kilo - etc! All very fresh and the sellers can exactly tell you where the fish comes from.
Besides those markets are algo good for cereal, fruit, veggies, eggs and chicken, quinoa etc!

Every Saturday on plza Amenia (Palermo) and at many other locations throughout th city. Im going every weekend!

There are markets from the "city government" (Macri ?) on plaza Armenia?

You find the same prices (more or less) in the barrio chino btw
