Has anyone found good pre-made puff pastry?
I remember finding one brand a few years ago at Disco. It puffed beautifully but tasted like plastic.
Any tips are appreciated!

Not been here long enough to find out what brands are what but the rule is thats its made with butter and the higher the butter content the better.
I have made it myself before but its a big of a phaf but if you make a big batch you can freeze it.

I've made it too, and I am trying to avoid the work thus my post.
It would be so convenient to have some nice pre-made available...
You'll find that bovine fat replaces the more expensive butter as an ingredient in many pastry items here. Not the same flavor by a long shot

I've found it's easier to get used to the stuff available than to search for the stuff that isn't...

It surprises me that there is no decent puff here as they have enough croissants. Mind you I suspect they cover the lard taste with the sugar. They are very good.
