I was born and raised in the USA. without reservations, i can say, yes, back home they bag it for you. i have many of the same experiences here eric mentions. in my area, they throw my stuff at the end of the counter and then demand 21.20 from me because they arent happy with the 22 i gave them. so i must fish for small change while i bag, while they are already serving another customer. other days, even at big stores, the clerk seems in a coma almost, sl-ow-ly scanning.
