Does anyone have a recommendation for a gym to join or a good place to take pilates or dance classes in Palermo? The closer to Scalabrini & Santa Fe the better. Preferably something not too expensive.

Thanks in advance!!!

Here's a link for dance classes: http://www.alternativateatral.com/cursos15-danza-y-baile

For gyms and pilates studios your best bet is to walk around and walk into those that you see to scope out (also dance studios, you didn't mention a style you're interested in). Frequently there are tons of both in all neighborhoods, some are just more tucked away than others unless it's one of the big gym chains like SportClub or Megatlon (which definitely have their benefits, but are also some of the most expensive). Good luck and have fun!

I just joined Always Club at Paraguay 4439: http://alwaysclub.com.ar/
It's not nearly as expensive as Megatlon, but it's more expensive than the smaller gyms with few classes.

They have a lot of different classes, including yoga and "pilates cama." Pilates reformer costs extra. I haven't tried either of these classes yet. They let me try a spin class for free before I signed up, so they'll probably let you try out pilates or yoga if you ask. The equipment is a little old, but the instructors I've had so far have been really great. I'd definitely recommend it as a mid-range gym option.

Hi!
I recommend classes with Aldana on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Paikea Pilates on Charcas between S. Ortiz and Araoz. She is a dancer who gives pilates classes so they are pretty challenging...you'll definitely see results. I went there for six months and really enjoyed it. I quit because I moved. Oh yeah, and they have free trial class so you can try before you commit! Good luck!

Can anyone recommend any yoga studios in Palermo. The closer to Plaza Italia, the better. Thanks.
