Hamburg Bans Single Use Coffee Pods...

or there are reusable systems

I have the Senseo machine and got a CoffeeDuckfilter. The amount of money I save by grinding the beans, making my own 'shots' is phenomenal! And I just dump the coffee grounds in a big planter and mix it up into the soil.

There are ways around the incredible waste. Although I've heard people complain about having to manually fill the reusable pods.... laziness is another issue :p

I bought a some reusable pods for my Nespresso machine when I first got it years ago and I could never make it produce coffee as good as the nespresso pods. No where close. Not to mention if I'm going to go to the effort of dialing in the right grind and scooping and filling and then cleaning up, I'll use my la pav.

The main appeal of the nespresso (and other single serves) is that you turn it on, and in a minute you can have an espresso that tastes better than what you get at 90% of the cafés in this city.
