Has anybody brought a boat to Argentina?

Take the boat to another country (Uruguay, e.g.) and leave it there for 6 months per year...and repeat the process year after year.

Very good, like a perma-tourist, but for boats... that's worth considering actually.

I would be concerned to leave a 50 ft boat in another country 6 months of the yr and rely on loopholes to keep it from being confiscated. That is something that had better be done legaly. We arent talking about a $1000 Dingy. Just saying..

I cant remember exactly what they story was (to much alcohol/drugs in my youth has affected my memory - or maybe not enough) but i think he only had to take out for the day, basically it was just a run across the river, stay the night and come back.

be careful. There are pirates on the river as you travel north from BA. [hijackers] My friends run a 50' cruiser and there are weapons on board.
