Thanks for all the help and posts. I had a visa appointment at the US embassy but my husband insists that i can renew my sons passport in the states and the he will be let into his country and that he can leave Argentina on his Argentine passport. I have called and called the US embassy but can't speak to a human! Any ideas on this....
You guys are all right in your recommendations. My only beef with renewing in BA is that both of us (mother and father) have to travel to BA to renew a minor's passport and my husband is so slammed with his work he couldn't leave for a day. We have Argentine permission to travel with a minor out of the country papers for our son. That is not a worry.
I am fully ready for an "experience" if it comes to this and I have told my husband that I didn't want to travel like this...(of course as luck has it we had to change all the arrangements and he has to be back in the states for work before my son and I leave. So, I am traveling with my son and his expired US passport not my husband). Ugh
. Fingers crossed, I am totally aware of the possible events. We leave in two weeks.
I know many people are saying, "Why are you taking a risk that can be avoided?" and I too am saying this but, when one is dealing with a stubborn mate, well, sometimes it is just live and learn. I hope I am the one who will be proven wrong. Patience.
