WHO WE ARE:
Our company has the overall best-selling tea product on Amazon.com and Amazon.ca.
We have launched into the UK, France, Spain, and Germany. We have near-term plans
for rolling out in Italy. And we have sights set on Mexico, Japan, India, and China.

We've become skilled and knowledgeable at how to rank products well within the Amazon ecosystem. We will leverage that knowledge by launching other brands on Amazon where we see the opportunity to deliver value. We've identified 7 unique product segments already that we believe have the potential as a desirable brand. While the product development for each of them is unique, the strategy to rank well on Amazon is quite similar.

WHO YOU ARE:
An experienced Accountant.

Must have own computer and high speed Internet connection. Must strive to be the most awesome version of yourself. . . every day.

You are tech-savvy. Ideally you are familiar with Xero.com or a similar online accounting platform. At a minimum you have used similar accounting packages and love the idea of mastering a new one.

Must be experienced working with a multi-company structure that shares some expenses, and involves multiple currencies. Must be familiar with general USA and UK accounting rules.

We have previously worked with 3rd parties to handle our accounting needs and are bringing this role in-house for the first time. Part of your responsibility will be to create documentation on precisely how to do your job. Thus when you advance in our company or to another career opportunity, the next person will have a guidebook on how to do everything necessary. We are very big on documenting our processes.

You should be VERY data-driven and obsessed with accurate reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. You will be able to perform accrual accounting while forecasting on a cash basis. Experience working with Xero and Amazon sellers a plus.

2. While this isn't a CFO-level position, it's also not strictly a data-entry position either. You will be performing the bookkeeping functions so you shouldn't be afraid to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty. However you should also have experience with or aspire to be an Operational Finance Director. You need to be savvy enough to suggest ways to improve our accounting practices, and help the owner understand the data & how to make decisions from it.

3. You will be reviewing vendor agreements, prices, quotes, purchase orders, and invoices for consistency. When errors are found you are expected to communicate directly with the involved parties to resolve.

4. We expect that you will take an active role in identifying cost-saving opportunities for the business.

COMPENSATION:
$2,100 USD / month to start. $2,400 USD / month after 3 months. $2700 USD / month after 12 months.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Wherever is most comfortable for you (outside of USA). We expect this position to be full time, but we won't be checking your time card. As long as you're staying on top of your duties and not letting things fall through the cracks, you can work the hours you find most productive for yourself.

3. Our team is scattered around the globe with people working from their own locations.
