Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum. But I get a lot of value in reading everyones threads. I'm not currently living in BA but I'm considering the move. I'm a business consultant, working as a coach and mentor. I'm in BA for 5 weeks at the moment. I absolutely love this place, but touch wood I've not been a victim yet.I'd love some feedback about what it's like to live here and business prospects. I'm currently learning Spanish, which is helping with the communication, but still a long way to go.

The business environment here is not very good, and it can be more difficult for foreigners. Just getting a residency to be able to do business here can be a hassle. I do not have any personal experience trying to run a business here, but I've heard of many people who tried to make a business work down here only to give up in frustration later on.

I am sure that someone else on this forum will be able to give you better details than I can.
