Paternal started getting ultra hip a couple of years ago. I agree with the author that there are a lot of great places to eat in chacarita and villa crespo.

And Collegiales. All the new hip places seem to be in those areas. Palermo, Recoleta are all boring. Puerta Madero is the tourist place. San Telmo has the potential but no!

Colegiales has fast become my favorite barrio. It's incredibly balanced, also connected to transport. Tranquil streets, tucked away cultural fare and its share of incredible cuisine/coffee. It's nice to just take a day to explore...walking around, getting lost and then found again-trying a new place or two in the process.
