How Does Punta Del Este Compare with St Tropez, Monaco, Marbella, etc these days?

I guess we must have different definitions of "nightlife". I dont go to pickup bars and drink twenty dollar cocktails, but I go to see live music all the time in a very wide variety of venues, and there are way too many things to do in BA every single night. I have been to at least five live shows in the last six months, full of young people, old people, children and seniors, with prices ranging from free to 40,000 pesos.
Argentines, in my experience here since 2007, have never been big drinkers like germans or brits.
There are tons of "cultural centers" that sell beer, wine, a few cocktails, and serve food, and have music, dance, theater, poetry, and performance, and are full, every weekend in BA. full of people.
There are some really cool neighborhood bars like Condarco, or Accuario.
I went to see a great early 2000's band for a reunion concert a few months ago- in a warehouse type space, sold out a couple weeks in advance, great homemade empanadas and basic drinks, cheap, fun, full.
Its true that there are fewer places like Million these days, but there are still amazing dive bars, underground (literally) gay clubs, big clubs featuring metal bands, electronic dance spots, and a few thousand small bars with local scenes.
There are a bunch of new cocktail and wine bars, several vinyl only DJ bars, russian rock music bars, cumbia clubs, lesbian bars, and popups. One art gallery I know does a street party about once a month with DJ's, parillas on the sidewalk, and drinks- it fills the small street til 2am every time they do it.
Dj Villa Diamante does a thursday night free outdoor dj set every week, its crazy packed.
The scene exists, if you look for it.
It aint Ibiza, sure, but it doesnt cost a 100 euros to get in, either.
is this bar any good? https://darsena.com.ar/ looks really cool and hipster like

Ries, which art Gallery is that, please?
comite 357,
on Tres Sargentos. Their openings are wild. Its such a tiny street the police dont care.
I think they only announce the openings on their instagram, though, and not very far in advance.
