How many 8oz packages of cheese can i bring in my luggage (EZE)?

Aduanas certainly go through your stuff at the land / river crossings, it's happened to us coming back from Paraguay (by bus and with our car), and also from Montevideo (by car). Coming back from Montevideo, some salami was confiscated, presumably because it wasn't from the "Kingdom of Spain" as per the link kindly provided by @DK72. Other than that, we got everything back safely :cool:
 
I bought back about 1.5kg of cheese from stilton to wensleydale in a cool bag with some ice blocks in it from the UK and had no problems. To be fair I wasn't aware it was an issue.
