Do you suppose that requires contacting the FBU at the embassy?

Change of address is done by phone ONLY calling their 800 number. I wish the webpage would tell you when they get my "proof of life" letter I sent back couple of weeks ago.
Thanks... I was unaware of that.

well, well

some services are not available outside of the United States:

  • Changing your address.
  • Changing your direct deposit.
  • Requesting a replacement Social Security card.

So, Utopos, where does one find this 800 number?

I just received an email from Social Security at the embassy regarding change of address. This is what they said:

"Regarding the change of address, you can always do it by e-mail with us or with the form you mentioned as long as it is within the 5 countries we manage (Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile and Bolivia). If it is a US address, you have to contact either the toll free number or a field office."

The form referred to can be found in my post above, and the email address is: [email protected]
