We just moved to BsAs. We bought a flat screen TV in the US and the sales person told us it would work in Argentina. Not a proble with the electricity but we get only black and white pictures and no color. It is working on cable.

We have heard that there is a decoder or some other inexpensive way to make the TV work in color. Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?

Try setting the Video controls to PAL - N or PAL - L . The us standard is ntsc.

sign up for digital cable (additional fee is something like $10-15 pess / month). Use an HDMI cord to connect your TV to the box. Then you'll be in business.

Get digital cable like Stafford said. No problems...

Yeah Ive got the same problem, working on getting direcTV. That should do it.

You don't need diecTV to solve this issue.
A digital box - regardless of the provider / source (cable / satellite) is all you need.

well we are switching from telecentro anyways and I think were getting direcTV either way. I dont really watch tv, the real electronics issue I had was almost breaking my ps3 without a converter for the electricity.
