I go to the one on the corner of Montevideo and Corrientes (Corrientes 1598, I think). Often go to Plaza Housay, but never saw one there.

Coffee went up more than 10 % from 3.6 K to 4.0 K pesos. I ordered tea for 3.0 K pesos will continue to drink tea as an act of resistance . I urge you to do likewise..!

I just buy instant coffee make them at home, per serving cost 800 pesos, coffee powder and milk sugar, just as good as in cafe.
I don't understand why people would spend 5X,6X more to get a cup of coffee, unless 4K 5K pesos they can just toss them on ground and won't mind to look at it twice.

Going for coffee is a local sport beyond the drink that can be stretched to last for hours if done properly...

Either way, coupled with this appreciation in the peso and the ever present 10% per month inflation numbers, this place is doomed in the future.

Id say Argentina is around 1995 or 1996 in its countdown to another collapse.

While the coffee here is still not great, (unless top quality coffee is purchased at an exorbitant price) I won't switch to tea (well, ice tea is great).
