I went to the bank today (StandardBank) and took out 800 dollars, meaning I took money out of my savings account in pesos and bought 800 dollars at 4.33, no hassle.

If I am not mistaken, you can now buy property in pesos...which means that this panic over the dollar could start to go away. But its hard to say.
